Participated with the Reporters Committee and 49 other media organizations and outlets in a letter to U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. The letter asks the Supreme Court to continue providing live audio access for the Court’s oral arguments and opinion announcements for the upcoming term as the Court is still closed to the public. The letter applauds the Court’s historic move in May 2020 to provide telephonic access to oral arguments, which led journalists to report about the Court’s sessions while they were in progress. This gave many Americans their first contemporaneous glimpse of how the Court operates. [2020]
