The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has begun its annual Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) audits, sending letters to 300 radio and television stations. Those selected must submit details of their hiring and recruiting practices by Sept. 22.

Under FCC rules, 5% of all stations are randomly audited each year to ensure compliance with staff recruitment requirements….

The audits come as FCC Chairman Brendan Carr pushes to roll back the agency’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs.
