Participated in an amicus brief (with the Reporters Committee and other amici) filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Perry v. Hollingsworth.  This is a case in which we participated at the district court level concerning access to the video recording of the 2010 Proposition 8 trial.  The proponents appealed the district court’s order to unseal the recording and moved for a stay of the order pending appeal.  Subsequently, on July 9, a federal judge denied their motion for a stay and ordered the recordings released on August 12, 2020.  This amicus brief favors the unsealing plan and supports KQED’s opposition to the motion for a stay.  [2020]
