Arlington, Va., March 17, 2020 – The Media Institute issued the following statement today by Institute President Richard Kaplar:
“In light of the coronavirus pandemic, we have postponed our Communications Forum luncheon scheduled for March 25 until April 27. We thank our featured speaker, FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly, for changing his schedule to speak on this new date. We will continue to monitor developments to see if further schedule changes become necessary in the coming months.
“Our first priority is the safety of our guests, speakers, and sponsors. We value the support of our sponsors, and we appreciate their flexibility as we respond to changing conditions. Consistent with our concern for health and safety, we hope to provide Washington’s media and telecom leaders with a full complement of engaging events as the year progresses, even if timelines have to be modified.”
