The Cornerstone Project
The Cornerstone Project will feature public service announcements, communications efforts such as op-ed pieces and a series of papers, an exhibit for display in libraries, a video presentation, and a national symposium in Washington, D.C. The program will also publish books and other materials. The First Amendment and the Media - 2001 is the first book released under the auspices of the Cornerstone Project. The program was launched in October 2000 and will continue for at least three years. The Cornerstone Project Advisory Board comprises seven financial supporters representing a wide array of media interests. The Advisory Council includes 11 media, journalism, and free speech organizations.
