Arlington, Va., July 20, 2015 – Todd A. Mayman of TEGNA Inc. has been elected to the Board of Trustees of The Media Institute, it was announced today.

Mayman is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal and Administrative Officer for TEGNA.  He also serves as a director of the TEGNA Foundation.

Prior to joining TEGNA in 1993, Mayman was an associate at the law firm of Arent Fox and served as a law clerk at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.  He received a B.A. with Honors from Swarthmore College and a J.D. magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law.

TEGNA, formerly Gannett Co., Inc., which continues to be based in McLean, Va., is comprised of media and digital businesses.  TEGNA Media includes 46 television stations (including those serviced by TEGNA) and is the largest independent station group of major network affiliates in the top 25 markets, reaching approximately one-third of all television households nationwide.  TEGNA Digital is comprised of Cars.com, CareerBuilder, and other brands such as G/O Digital, Clipper, and Sightline Media Group.
